Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe EVER: Review

I have been making chocolate chip cookies
ever since I can remember.
Helping my mom make cookies
in the kitchen is one of my favorite memories.
Ok, so maybe there was some
Little Red Hen syndrome
going on, sometimes.

This is the actual cookie I made
and took this picture.
But eating them sure was a
great memory too.

We always used the recipe on the
back of the choc chip bag.
And I'll be honest, our cookies,
NEVER
came out this fabulous.
The texture of this cookie is
absolutely perfect.
I wish I could say I made up this
recipe in my test kitchen, like the
lovely Bobby Flay.
But, alas, I can not.
I found the recipe at allrecipes.com
You can click on the link and see
all the reviews and different little
tips and tricks everyone has suggested.
I think it is great, just the way it is.

 Best Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons hot water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Cream together the butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Dissolve baking soda in hot water. Add to batter along with salt. Stir in flour, chocolate chips, and nuts. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased pans.
  3. Bake for about 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until edges are nicely browned.

I omitted the walnuts and baked mine for 14min.
This recipe makes about 24 cookies,
since we don't need to eat that many,
I cut mine in half and it was perfect.

These are def some cookies you can feel proud
of to submit to the local bake sale,
you know, the kinda cookies that
will give you the reputation of being
your neighborhood
Martha Stewart.
Now, there's a reputation worth fighting for.
