Flashback Friday

Lets flash back to like 3 days ago.

The fam was in town and we 

had been at the beach all freaking day

and then we headed to the pool.

My sister wanted me to take of pic of her by 

the pool for her to send to her husband.

I did, and she was like, 

"oh man, I look like a wet dog."

so I said

"take a pic of me, so you look better."

I looked a wreck and had a towel on my head.

The Liebster Award

Somedays I blog and think, 

"Man, I love blogging I am going to blog FOREVER."

and then some days, I think.

"Holy Hannah Montana, blogging sucks the life outta me,

its so time consuming, and does anyone ever read this thing?

I get like no comments, ever..."

Obviously, my blog is just as bi-polar

as I am. Im not really bi-polar, but my husband

swears my mood changes as much and as fast  

 as a 6 year old girl changes outfits.

Luckily today is one of those days I feel

justified in my blogging efforts and content

with my decision to keep blogging.

I mean, really, the world needs me...

(ha)

over at Creative Raisins

Has awarded me, the Liebster Award.

What is that you asked??

Well, I asked the same thing. Here's what I found.

The Liebster award is a rather ‘cute’ award as it has no form of patronage and seems to me as a positive example of word of mouth. The award is passed from one blogger to another as a really great example of recognition. From German origin, the word Liebster translates (via google translate) as ‘favourite’ or ‘beloved’. It is given to a blog which has under 200 followers and is traditionally accepted and passed on as follows:

1. Show thanks to the blogger who awarded you by linking back to their blog.
2. Pick 5 blogs with less than 200 followers and let them know about your nomination by leaving a comment on their blog
3. Post the award on your blog.

Kinda cool right?

So, here are my 5 favs. I am awarding the Liebster to!

1. The Framed Lady

This blog is written by Tess,

and I am lucky enough to know her in person.

Her blog is hilarious and she writes about all kinds of things.

From fashion to food and everything in between.

She is one talented (framed) lady.

2. Redfly Creations

Melissa is a mom of 3 kids

and says that even though her husband

was recently poisoned by carbon monoxide, that they're

favorite saying is:

"When God changes the winds, adjust your sails".

Talk about inspiring.

She is super creative, very organized and talented.

3. Kill Them With Craftiness

Jennifer is so extremely talented.

Her blog is filled with sewing tips, tricks and great tutorials.

She loves recipes, refashioning and DIY.

I think this quote from her blog, really sums her up!

I believe that homemade is the new chic. I love the feeling of a finished project, something you can be proud of. 

I still believe in the good in the world and try to find the beautiful in every situation and every person.

4. Miranda Murdock

I know Miranda from when we both

lived in Ventura, Ca.

She has got to be one of the most talented people I know.

 Recently she had twins, is a great seamstress

and excellent artist. 

She has a fantastic aesthetic and is definitely someone to watch.

5. Turtles & Tails

Barb is a funny and creative woman.

(just like moi.. ha)

She has great style and does crafts and DIY stuff, 

that makes me think, 

"WOW, now, THAT is a great idea."

All of these blogs are so deserving of this

award and inspire me to be a better blogger 

and more creative person!

Burn Baby Burn

Fam Bam is in town,

so we have spent the last couple days

outside at the pool and the beach,

 enjoying the gorgeous weather out here

in sunny southern California.

(i love the way, that rolls off the tongue,

and apologize ((kinda)) to my friends that

had snow the other day, Im talkin to you KWB,

you know who you are...)

With that being said,

Sunday Confessions

Happy April Fools.

Ps. None of these are jokes,

I wish some were.

Todays confessions have to do 

with exercise.

I find no desire whatsoever in exerting myself

to the point of sweat, by hurting myself, 

for fun.

Every time I eat a healthy dinner,

I feel justified, in having an

awesome dessert.

(i dont think thats how its supposed to work)

On that same note, I sometimes 

wear workout clothes all day,

it makes me feel like I actually worked out.

Its the thought that counts right?

Oh, and I watch The Biggest Loser,

while eating ice cream...

I am horrible.

Im getting depressed just thinking about 

how bad I am.

Moving on.

I have a love/hate relationship 

with the fact that my kid

calls me Janean.
