blendtec recipes

For a long time I was obsessed with juicing. I loved the way it made me feel and that I knew I was getting tons of vitamins and nutrients. What I didnt like about juicing was all the cleaning and the waste! I recently got a Blendtec Blender (Blendtec TB-621-20 Total Blender, Black)
and use it DAILY. I am obsessed. I love making healthy smoothies for my family, especially the kids. Do your kids get their greens everyday? Mine do. I also use my blender for making biscuit dough, scone dough, soups, and peanut butter. Here are some of my favorite recipes.

Ps. This isnt a "lose weight" page, its a "get healthy" page. Hopefully inspiring you to get more vitamins and nutrients and make your own food from scratch. Forget the fillers. But, if you lose weight along the way, then high-five!

Smoothie Recipies
There was a slight learning curve going from juicing to blending. I had the juice flavor combos perfected. So it took me awhile to get some great tasting smoothie recipes. I have noticed that if I want a lot of greens, bananas and apple juice will counter the bitterness, so that's something to keep in mind when making your own recipes. The apple juice I use, is 120 cal. per 8oz, if you're trying to cut calories, either dont use it, or calculate that in. Also, I always use 100% juice from a health food store. I try and make sure I put greens into every smoothie I make. Spinach and Kale are my go-tos, being loaded with vitamins, a good source of Omega 3's, they alkalize the body and strengthen bones, among many other benefits! Plus they taste great in a smoothie. This is an ever changing page, but here are a few of my favs.

*Note, I always use my "whole juice" setting when I make my smoothies because I like them more runny, like juice.
